Master and Journeyman Mechanical Licensee (Single License): You must complete eight (8) CE hours every 3 years. Of the 8 hours, two (2) hours must relate to Iowa Occupational Health & Safety, two (2) hours must relate to the International Mechanical Code (IMC) significant changes and updates, and the remaining four (4) hours can relate to the mechanical industry.
 

Master and Journeyman Mechanical Licensee (Multiple License): You must complete fourteen (14) CE hours every 3 years. Of the 14 hours, four (4) hours must relate to Iowa Occupational Health & Safety, two (2) hours must relate to the International Mechanical Code (IMC) significant changes and updates, and the remaining eight (8) hours can relate to the mechanical industry.

Master and Journeyman Plumber plus Mechanical License (Multiple Licenses): You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every 3 years. Of the 16 hours, four (4) hours must relate to Iowa Occupational Health & Safety, two (2) hours must relate to the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) significant changes and updates, two (2) hours must relate to the International Mechanical Code (IMC) significant changes and updates, and the remaining eight (8) hours can relate to the plumbing and/or mechanical industry.

You can only take up Half of your continuing education hours online

Master and Journeyman Mechanical Licensee: You must renew your license by June 30, every three years from when your license was issued.
