Hours Required:
Contractors, Journeymen, Master and Residential Electricians: You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every two years. Of the 16 hours, a minimum of 8 hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates, and the remaining 8 hours can relate to the electrical industry or can be additional NEC hours.
License Renewal Period:
Contractors, Journeymen, Master and Residential Electricians: You must renew your license by July 15 of every even year.

The following courses are pre-approved by the State of Montana Department of Labor & Industry (Board):
