Residential Contractor: You must complete five (5) CE hours every two years. These courses must be related to the practices of construction or other topics related to the nature of the registrant’s business.

 

Note:

• Contractors engaging in only commercial contracting work shall be exempted from the pre- and continuing education requirements.

 

Residential Contractor: You must renew your registration every two years from when your license was issued.

The following courses are pre-approved by the State of Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board:

• RI 3-HR International Residential Code 2021
• RI 1-HR Construction Safety
• RI 1-HR Industry Related

CEDworkforce.com is approved by State of Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board to offer continuing education courses to registered Rhode Island Residential Contractors.

Residential Contractor: You can take all of your continuing education hours online.

We will provide you with a Certificate of Completion in support of your license renewal process.
