Florida - Miami-Dade County CE Requirements:

Hours Required:

General, Residential and Building Master, Journeyman, Maintenancemen and Contractor: You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every two years. Of the required sixteen (16) hours of continuing education credit a minimum of one (1) hour in each of the following areas of study shall be included:

  • Chapter 10 of the Code of Miami-Dade County
  • Florida Statute 713.

The remaining fourteen (14) hours of continuing education may be satisfied through attendance at any Board approved courses.

 

License Renewal Period:

General, Residential and Building Master, Journeyman, Maintenancemen and Contractor: You must renew your license every two years from when your license was issued.

The following courses are pre-approved by Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, Florida (Board):

  • MDC 1-HR Florida Building Code advanced module
  • MDC 1-HR Wind Mitigation
  • MDC 2-HR Construction Safety
  • MDC 8-HR IRC 2024
