New York CE Requirements:
City of Troy Master Electrician: You must complete at least six (6) CE hours annually in the electrical field.
Suffolk County:
- Master Electrician: You must complete eight (8) CE hours every two years in the electrical field.
- Restricted Electrician: You must complete four (4) CE hours every two years in the electrical field.
Sullivan County Electrical Contractor, Master Electrician, and Journeyman Electrician: You must complete at least six (6) CE hours annually in the electrical field.
City of Poughkeepsi Master and Journeyman Electrician: You must complete four (4) CE hours annually in the electrical field.
City of Troy Master Electrician: You must renew your license annually by December 15.
Suffolk County Master and Restricted Electrician: You must renew your license every two years from when your license was issued.
Sullivan County Electrical Contractor, Master Electrician, and Journeyman Electrician: You must renew your license annually by January 1.
City of Poughkeepsi Master and Journeyman Electrician: You must renew your license annually by April 1.
The City of Troy does not pre-approve continuing education courses. However, our courses have been prepared by subject matter experts in accordance with the requirements of the City of Troy.
The Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing & Consumer Affairs (Board) has pre-approved our following courses:
