Vermont CE Requirements:
Hours Required:
Master and Journeyman Electrician: You must complete fifteen (15) CE hours during the preceding 36-month period. All hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates.
Type-S Journeyman Electrician: You must complete eight (8) CE hours during the preceding 36-month period. All hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates.
All licesned electricians are required to complete the Vermont Energy Goals Education Module available online through the Division of Fire Safety website. The educational module and completion certificate can be accessed by clicking on the following link.
License Renewal Period:
Master and Journeyman Electrician: You must renew your license every three years from the last day of the month when your license was issued.
Type-S Journeyman Electrician: You must renew your license every three years from the last day of the month when your license was issued.
Course Pre-approval:
The following course(s) are pre-approved by the State of Vermont Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety (Board):
