Electrical Administrator: You must complete eight (8) CE hours every two years. All hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates.

Electrical Journeyman: You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every two years. Of the 16 hours, a minimum of 8 hours must include significant changes or updates to the NEC, and the remaining 8 hours can relate to the electrical industry or can be additional NEC hours.

Electrical Administrator: You must renew your  license by December 31 of every odd year.

Electrical Journeyman: You must renew your license every two years from when your license was issued.

The following courses are pre-approved by the State of Alaska Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing (Board):

• AK 8-HR NEC 2023 and Changes from 2020
• AK 8-HR Industry Related
