Basics of Ducting and Ventilation, and an Overview, Installation, and Maintenance of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration System
This is a State Board-approved online continuing education course for HVAC/R Contractors licensed in the State of Alabama. This online interactive video course presents the principles and theory of refrigeration, its basic components, and an overview of its installation and maintenance procedures. In addition, this course provides key knowledge information on ducts and ventilation systems as well as a brief guidance on air cleaners for residential use.
Part I of this course presents the types of duct systems, duct system construction, and how duct systems are sized. It also describes how duct systems are balanced, the two types of ventilation systems, and the tools and materials used to evaluate system operation.
Part II of the presentation covers the aspects of selecting and installing air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. It also describes the individual components required in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. Finally, it provides the fundamental electrical knowledge needed to install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
This online interactive presentation is intended primarily for HVAC/R contractors, conditioned air contractors, residential contractors, designers and other technical personnel interested in learning more about the essentials of HVAC systems as detailed in this outline.
