Master, Journeyman and Specialist Plumber: You must complete eight (8) CE hours during the preceding 24-month period. Of the eight (8) hours, a minimum of two (2) hours must relate to the International Plumbing Code (IPC) along with significant changes and updates, as well as Vermont (VT) amendments to the code. The remaining six (6) hours can relate to the plumbing industry or can be additional IPC hours as approved by the board.

 

All licensed plumbers are required to complete the Vermont Energy Goals Education Module available online through the Division of Fire Safety website. The educational module and completion certificate can be accessed by clicking on the following link.

 

Master, Journeyman and Specialist Plumber: You must renew your license every two years from when your license was issued.

The following course(s) are pre-approved by the State of Vermont Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety (Board):

• VT 8-HR IPC 2024 and Changes from 2021 (incl. IPC VT Amendments & VT Plumbing Rules)
