Apprentice, Master, Journeyman, Residential Master and Residential Journeyman Plumber: You must complete twelve (12) CE hours every two years.

• At least 8 hours shall be core continuing education. Core education is defined as eight (8) hours of education covering topics related to:
  • International Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, and International Energy Conservation Codes and Utah building code amendments as adopted or proposed for adoption;
  • The Americans with Disability Act;
  • Medical gas, National Fire Protection Association 13D and 54;
  • Hydronics and waste water treatment; or
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training.
     
• The remaining 4 hours may be professional (industry related topics) or core education. The professional continuing education is defined as four (4) hours of education covering topics related to:
  • Energy conservation;
  • Management training;
  • New technology;
  • Plan reading;
  • Lien laws and Utah construction registry; or
  • Government regulations.
     

The following courses are pre-approved by the State of Utah Division of Professional Licensing (Board):

• UT 8-HR IPC 2021 and Changes from 2018
• UT 4-HR Industry Related
