Florida CE Requirements:
Hours Required:
Air Conditioning Contractor – Class A, B and C: You must complete fourteen (14) CE hours every two years. The required 14 hours must be taken from the following:
- 1 hour workers’ compensation
- 1 hour workplace safety
- 1 hour business practices
- 1 hour Florida Laws & Rules
- 1 hour Florida Building Code advanced module course
- Remaining nine (9) hours can be any board approved construction related instruction
Mechanical Contractor: You must complete fourteen (14) CE hours every two years. The required 14 hours must be taken from the following:
- 1 hour workers’ compensation
- 1 hour workplace safety
- 1 hour business practices
- 1 hour Florida Laws & Rules
- 1 hour Florida Building Code advanced module course
- Remaining nine (9) hours can be any board approved construction related instruction
License Renewal Period:
Certified Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractor: You must renew your license on August 31 of every even-numbered year.
Registered Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractor: You must renew your license on August 31 of every odd-numbered year.

The following courses are pre-approved by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (Board):
