South Dakota CE Requirements:
Hours Required:
Electrical Inspector, Electrical Contractor, Journeyman Electrician, Class B Electrician, and Apprentice Electrician: You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every two years. Of the 16 hours, a minimum of eight (8) hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) significant changes and updates, and the remaining eight (8) hours can be other industry-related instruction or can be additional NEC hours.
You can only take up Half of your continuing education hours online
License Renewal Period:
Electrical Inspector, Electrical Contractor, Journeyman Electrician, Class B Electrician, and Apprentice Electrician: You must renew your license biennially by June 30.
