Oregon CE Requirements:

Hours Required:

General Supervising Electrician (S): You must complete twenty-four (24) CE hours every three years. Of the 24 hours, 12 hours must relate to code change (CC), 8 hours must relate to code related (CR), and 4 hours must relate to Oregon Laws and Rules (ORL).

 

Limited Supervising Electrician (PS): You must complete twenty-four (24) CE hours every three years. Of the 24 hours, 12 hours must relate to code change (CC), 8 hours must relate to code related (CR), and 4 hours must relate to Oregon Laws and Rules (ORL).

 

General Journeyman Electrician (J): You must complete twenty-four (24) CE hours every three years. Of the 24 hours, 8 hours must relate to code change (CC), 12 hours must relate to code related (CR), and 4 hours must relate to Oregon Laws and Rules (ORL).

 

​​Limited Journeyman Mfg​ Plant Electrician (PJ): You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every three years. Of the 16 hours, 8 hours must relate to code change (CC), 4 hours must relate to code related (CR), and 4 hours must relate to Oregon Laws and Rules (ORL).

 

​​Limited Residential Electrician (LR): You must complete sixteen (16) CE hours every three years. Of the 16 hours, 8 hours must relate to code change (CC), 4 hours must relate to code related (CR), and 4 hours must relate to Oregon Laws and Rules (ORL).

 

​​​​Limited Energy Technician Class B Electrician (LEB): You must complete eight (8) CE hours every three years. Of the 8 hours, 2 hours must relate to code change (CC), and 6 hours must relate to code related (CR).

 

​​​​Limited Energy Technician Class A Electrician (LEA): You must complete eight (8) CE hours every three years. All hours must relate to code change (CC).

 

Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME): You must complete eight (8) CE hours every three years. Of the 8 hours, 2 hours must relate to code change (CC), and 6 hours must relate to code related (CR).

 

Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT): You must complete four (4) CE hours every three years. Of the 4 hours, 2 hours must relate to code change (CC), and 2 hours must relate to code related (CR).

 

​​Limited Journeyman Sign Electrician (SIG): You must complete four (4) CE hours every three years. Of the 4 hours, 2 hours must relate to code change (CC), and 2 hours must relate to code related (CR).

License Renewal Period:

General Supervising Electrician (S), Limited Supervising Electrician (PS), General Journeyman Electrician (J), ​​Limited Journeyman Mfg​ Plant Electrician (PJ), ​​Limited Residential Electrician (LR), ​​​​Limited Energy Technician Class B Electrician (LEB), ​​​​Limited Energy Technician Class A Electrician (LEA), Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME), Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT) and ​​Limited Journeyman Sign Electrician (SIG): You must renew your license by October 1, every three years.
