City of Troy Master Electrician: You must complete at least six (6) CE hours annually in the electrical field.

Suffolk County:
 

• Master Electrician: You must complete eight (8) CE hours every two years in the electrical field.
   
• Restricted Electrician: You must complete four (4) CE hours every two years in the electrical field.

City of Troy Master Electrician: You must renew your license annually by December 15.

Suffolk County Master and Restricted Electrician: You must renew your license every two years from when your license was issued.

The City of Troy does not pre-approve continuing education courses. However, our courses have been prepared by subject matter experts in accordance with the requirements of the City of Troy.

The Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing & Consumer Affairs (Board) has pre-approved our following courses:

• 4-HR NEC 2023 and Changes from 2020 – Part I
• 4-HR NEC 2023 and Changes from 2020 – Part II

The City of Troy does not pre-approve continuing education sponsors. However, CEDworkforce.com is pre-approved by several state licensing boards mandating continuing education requirements for their licensed electricians.

CEDworkforce.com is approved by Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing & Consumer Affairs to offer continuing education courses to their licensed Master and Restricted Electricians.
