Ohio CE Requirements:
Hours Required:
Electrical Contractor (One-year Renewal): You must complete eight (8) CE hours every year. Of the eight (8) hours, a minimum of four (4) hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates, and the remaining four (4) hours can be other industry-related instruction or can be additional NEC hours.
Electrical Contractor (Three-year Renewal): You must complete twenty-four (24) CE hours every year. Of the twenty-four (24) hours, a minimum of twelve (12) hours must relate to the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with significant changes and updates, and the remaining twelve (12) hours can be other industry-related instruction or can be additional NEC hours.
You can only take up Half of your continuing education hours online.
License Renewal Period:
Electrical Contractor (One-year Renewal): You must renew your license every year from when your license was issued.
Electrical Contractor (Three-year Renewal): You must renew your license every three years from when your license was issued.

Provider Pre-approval:
